The grape variety Aglianico was brought by the Greeks to southern Italy over 2,000 years ago.

Nowadays, two towns enjoying a warm to hot climate and volcanic soils dominate the production of this ancient variety – Taurasi in Campagnia and Vulture in Basilicata. Aglianico Taurasi (less than 1000 acres are grown) has achieved DOCG status, and this is the clone used by us in our 2006 release.

Approximately 13.7% alcohol.
