Located on the western slopes of the Great Dividing Range of New South Wales at over 400 meters, Mudgee has had a 150 year viticultural history and over 80 years of association with Italian wine varietals since the Italian-born, medicine and wine pioneer Thomas Fiaschi established his Augustine Winery next to where di Lusso now stands.
More recent pioneers have recognized Mudgee's suitability for Italian varietal wines - particularly Sangiovese and Barbera. |
