Tasting and Production Notes Vivo is an expressive Italian word, meaning alive, or awake. We think this to be an appropriate name for this, our very first frizzante style wine.
Vivo! is styled on a well known famous wine from north west Italy
The di Lusso Estate releases sometimes use Vermentino, sometimes Chardonnay..in either case early picked fruit to ensure the crisp lightness that is important in this style. The palate is light and alive, thanks to carbonation of about the same as found in other sparkling wines. The flavours are long and clean, with a liveliness stemming from its crisp acidity that is deliciously thirst quenching.
This wine style is best served quite cold (10 degrees C) as an aperitivo to dinner guests on arrival with spuntini (for example, marinated olives, prosciutto and grissini or chicken livers on toast). Vivo! can also hit the right spot as a palate-cleanser after a hard day at the office.
